Sacandaga Station - Community Dock
HISTORY RESTORATION USE PARCEL DOCK TENNIS CLUB

The parcel has 262ft of lake frontage along the Great Sacandaga Lake. A community dock has been installed there for recreational use. There eventually will be slips for fifty boats. A walking trail leads from the Station to the dock area along Rt152. A pass-through in the guard rail on the lakeside of the road, stairs across the lakeshore rocks and a staging area along the water provide convenient access to the docks.

The first phase - summer 2005 - consists of the development of a sailing school for adults. The former baggage room in the station will be used as an instructional space. Available sailing boats include: a catamaran (Hoby16), a small keelboat (Rhodes19) and a Laser Pico. Accommodation at the station can be packaged with sailing instruction as a "learn-to-sail-basics" weekend. Contact us for further info on sailing instruction and weekend sailing packages.
